Thanks to @Sunday_Post for the interview this week - I have promised to take action against those who look to abuse our elderly. As part of our work against hate crime we will consult on age being an aggravator in new legislation just as race, gender, sexual orientation etc are. pic.twitter.com/Qp1RVVFgou

Let's not beat around the bush when it comes to disaster that is unfolding as Tories drive us of a hard brexit cliff edge.

Complete lack of clarity from UK Govt on issues from European Arrest Warrants to Europol - it is justice that will be the casualtyhttps://t.co/YEBf1AfIqR pic.twitter.com/xwANeEffTx

Branch representatives had their first meeting with @HumzaYousaf Cabinet Secretary for Justice today. We welcome his positive outlook on the role of police staff in the organisation and look forward to working with him and building on this for our members future

I think it helps to talk about mental health. I know it would have helped me. Also, realising that a diagnosis isn't a full stop; nor is it binary. It can be managed over time.

Well done Ruth for talking openly about your own mental health. It can only help that folk from all walks of life speak about mental health - so much support out there, know that if you're suffering you are not alone, you can talk to someone. https://t.co/SDY8NuY6Ig

6months have passed since ScotLab Cllr admitted Islamaphobia, was accused of racism by a former Police Officer & faced two separate allegations of racism against children. He should have been expelled. What have Labour done in 6months? Zero, zilch, nada.

Let's call Corbyn out - he is utterly duplicitous when it comes to tackling racism in his own Party. He says many warm words then fails miserably to follow it up with any action. He is a hypocrite and has been exposed as one time and time again.
— Humza Yousaf (@HumzaYousaf) September 21, 2018
8:31 AM
To @jeremycorbyn & @LabourRichard - it's easy to turn up to anti-racism demos & take pics with minorities. Real test is fighting plague of racism & bigotry that exists within your own movement, on that measure you have both completely failed. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Ps: I'm usually a pretty calm guy, but yeah I'm pissed off. Demonstrates once again structural bias that exists in society. Switch my race with Dempster's and imagine it was a White Govt Minister that had been racially abused by an Asian Cllr - he would've been expelled long ago.

Absolutely delighted agreement has been reached to give Police Officers in Scotland an immediate 6.5% pay increase, backdated to 1st Sept 2018 for next 31months.
— Humza Yousaf (@HumzaYousaf) September 26, 2018
This significant pay increase further recognises the value & trust the Scottish Govt places in our Police service.

We are also making significant progress towards a deal on Police Staff harmonisation, we must never forget the vital role police staff also play in keeping our communities safe.
