Really powerful messages, all signed off "Yours, Scotland" making the point that the vast majority of us have zero tolerance towards hatred. So if you see it, or are a victim, please report it. pic.twitter.com/GioitMCoCM

On day alt-right's poster boy (Bannon) is in town, we launched Scot Govt's consultation on Hate Crime. Hope people will respond positively. We want to build a Scotland where hatred has no home.

Law is only one tool we have to fight hatred, but as MLK observed, an important one! pic.twitter.com/K3ceSKs6UI

Great turnout at vigil to show solidarity with #Christchurch & Muslim community in Scotland & worldwide.
Time to start calling out the dog-whistle rhetoric that mainstreams hatred, we all must stand against it. pic.twitter.com/3IAPfRoJeI

Taking wee break from twitter. Every day a relentless barrage of abuse - mainly from same quarters.
— Humza Yousaf (@HumzaYousaf) July 13, 2019
I'm thick-skinned politician but not going to sit back & just accept abuse everytime I turn my phone on, esp when my wee girl becomes the target.
Plus, insta a much nicer place!

Introduced Hate Crime Bill today. It consolidates existing hate crime, creates an additional age aggravator, as well as solidifying existing protections for minority groups. Alongside this, we will set up a working group to look at a standalone offence of misogynistic harassment.

— Humza Yousaf (@HumzaYousaf) April 24, 2020
For awareness the "Public Order" part of the Bill is because I am using this legislation to repeal the obselete Blasphemy Law that still exists in Scotland, it hasn't been used for 175yrshttps://t.co/9I99R5GoT9

Awful from Murdo. I mention blatant Islamaphobia/racism (see examples below) on a thread of a right-wing article (riddled with complete inaccuracies btw) his only response is to endorse said article & suggest free speech is under threat?

Is easy to point out Opposition failures, we have to accept that we've not made enough progress for our minority communities
I take this as a personal failure & recommit myself to a fairer Scotland for all pic.twitter.com/yskVDS9TGu
